Slow Down

Lighting your Wrook candle is an opportunity to pause and embrace a moment of mindfulness. Take a deep breath as you strike the match or ignite the lighter, feeling the anticipation build. Watch as the flame catches and dances, bringing warmth and light to your space. Allow yourself to soak in the gentle glow and subtle fragrance that begins to unfold. This small ritual invites a sense of calm and helps set the tone for relaxation and tranquility.

To fully enjoy your Wrook candle, keep these tips in mind.

Keep it lit & give it time

A little-known fact about wax is that it has a memory, which occasionally leads to tunnelling. This can be avoided by letting your candle burn for a couple of hours, giving the wax a chance to reach the edges of the container. The recommended burn time is four to six hours.

Wrook Candles take around 45 minutes to an hour for the fragrance to disperse fully. Please be mindful of the size of the room you light your Wrook candle in. The larger the room, the more the fragrance will spread, and its strength will reduce.

Trim the wick ~ everytime

Prior to relighting your Wrook candle, try to remember to trim your wick – EVERY SINGLE TIME. This will ensure an even dispersion of the fragrance from the candle. Wick trimmers can be used, or you can simply use a nail clipper or pinch it with your fingers. Ideally your wick should be no longer than 5mm.

Follow the basics

Always keep candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans, and air currents for a steady even burn.
Keep candles within sight.
Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.
Keep candles away from anything that can catch fire.
Keep candles at least three feet away from any surface above them.
Keep away from children and pets.

Re-use & recycle

Once your Wrook candle has finished, any residual wax washes out easily with hot, soapy water. Your jar can now be re-used for decorative purposes or as a storage container.
